My art is abstract, very vibrant,intense,bursting with rich colors.

Tohida's art: Centereach, NY, United States; Art for me is way of life. I create with passion, energy and vigor. Colors in the universe propel me towards creation. It stimulates me to reflect on things normally taken for granted My paintings are instantaneous expression of color reminiscent of virtual effects nature. I work quickly and spontaneously. Hours of preparation and sketching and planning does not work for me. I see the world as a mixture of energies and color that interact with each other therefore my paintings are bursting with color and vigor and movement. I love to paint in all mediums but acrylics are my favorite as they suit my style. They are very versatile and dry very quickly. My two greatest passions are creating art and teaching art. Most of my work shows strong fluidity of thought and action. I like to have number of works in progress. It allows me to move from one painting to another without breaking my motion or stopping. My work both past and present is expressionistic in style but passing of time has added deep richness to it. Anything happening in the world or aground me affects me profoundly and reflects in my work. I strongly believe that art has got an impact and carries responsibility.
